About Dr. Yoon
Dr. Jong Soon Jay Yoon received a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the top, Ivy League school, University of Pennsylvania, and went on to a post-graduate prosthodontics program at the University of California, San Francisco, specializing in advanced implants and prosthetic treatment. Symphony Dental’s Dr. Yoon is also a concert performance-trained orchestral cellist. A former principal member of the Manhattan School of Music Philharmonic Orchestra, Dr. Yoon completed a Master’s degree and Professional Studies Diploma under legendary cellist David Soyer. Dr. Yoon’s performances include a debut recital at Carnegie Hall, following an artist competition. Influenced by his father, a physician who devoted his life to caring for patients, Dr. Yoon decided to pursue dental medicine, requiring the delicate use of one’s hands. With a musician’s skill and attention to detail, Dr. Yoon has gracefully made the transition to dentistry, elevating his practice into an art form as he shares a veritable dental symphony with those in his care, his patients. Dr. Yoon’s commitment to delivering the latest advancements in oral health care is demonstrated by his continued training and education in all aspects of cosmetics, implants, and general dentistry. He has been awarded a fellowship by the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and holds membership in the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Los Angeles Dental Association. Integrated with his practice, Dr. Yoon enjoys a well-rounded life with wife, Julie Kim, a classical singer, and their three children. He remains dedicated to the performing arts and the cello, through performances and recitals at community and church-related functions. |
